Strawberry——
When I was working on this series, I kept thinking,
The most touching moment of a strawberry is not when it hangs on the branch, but when it gently falls after ripening.
So there was the embroidery around the collar——
A few strawberries started falling from the edge of the collar and scattered along the curve of the garment, as if accidentally knocking over a basket of freshly picked fruits. That sleeveless shirt is made of a blend of cotton and Tencel, which feels like the early morning dew has not dried out, making it comfortable to wear in summer. The paired washed jeans have holes, not intentionally looking old, but to make the whole body look more relaxed.
Wearing to a market or caf é on weekends is just right.
The fabrics in this series are mostly natural blends of cotton, Tencel, linen, etc., which fit snugly and do not stick when sweaty.
The outer edge of the collar of the V-neck dress is embroidered with a circle of strawberries and pink flowers. When the skirt rotates, the fruits sway along, as if carried by the wind.
The red checkered sleeveless skirt is also slightly lower with strawberry embroidery on the hem, making it appear faintly when walking. And that red T-shirt, close fitting and breathable, simple and refreshing.
The entire series is a mix of white and red, relaxed and comfortable.
Strawberries represent the effortless sweetness for me.
It's not sweet enough to be cloying, it's sweet, short-lived, with a little bit of stubbornness.
The same goes for clothes, they don't need to be too heavy. Wearing them can remind people of a leisurely afternoon, when the sunshine is just right and the shadow of the fruit falls on the tablecloth. That's enough.
