In the winter of 2018, I sketched my first design using playing cards, never expecting it to become such a long-lasting companion for you all. Five years have passed, and many things have changed, but every time I see people still wearing that series, I feel compelled to go back and say a heartfelt "thank you" to it.
Thus, this brand-new "Red and Black" mini-series was born - it's not a reprint, but rather a conversation that has been postponed for five years.
The vintage red checkered shirt, with spades and clubs discreetly embroidered on the collar, serves as a new seal for old stories; the hand-painted playing cards on the white shirt,
Every stroke and every brushstroke is redrawn, with the edges of the heart shape bearing the clumsy, hand-drawn roughness.
And for that diamond-pattern tie, we doubled the density of the embroidery threads,
It slightly protrudes under light, and the texture can be felt.
We have upgraded the practicality:
The shirt is made of high-quality cotton and has undergone special anti-wrinkle treatment, striving to maintain elegance while being casual.
The knitting of the vest is thickened without feeling heavy.
But I want to be even more ambitious - I hope they are not just comfortable to wear,
I can still play the role of that "reliable old friend" in your wardrobe
When you don't know what to wear, grabbing it always allows you to leave the house with ease;
When you want to express a bit of playful attitude, the embroidery on its collar and the tie on its chest,
I will express it for you quietly.
Five years is enough for a series to become a classic, and it is also enough for us to understand that,
True good design is not about stormy waves, but about steady streams.
