Purple grapes——
When creating this series, I was always pondering the fun of grapes ripening and falling off naturally.
What I actually want to capture is not the grandeur of the entire cluster, but the appearance of one or two that happen to break free from the vines and gently fall, with a vividness that carries a hint of sweetness and coolness.
Thus, many details have their origins. The hollowed-out embroidery of leaves on the false collar and gauze skirt is specially crafted on a smooth tencel blended fabric. When light passes through, it gives off a transparent, breathable sensation akin to real leaves.
The purple dress with suspenders is made of cotton with a slight structural rigidity, allowing the sprawling grapevine embroidery on the skirt to sway slightly with the movement of the wearer, resembling a breeze passing by.
My favorite is still that white shirt. The white fabric is clean and crisp, and the symmetrical grape embroidered with various purple threads on the collar, together with the specially found purple button, resembles a purple fruit that has just fallen and still carries the morning dew.
I have always believed that comfort is the prerequisite for being attractive.
Therefore, most of the fabrics used in this series are natural and skin-friendly materials such as cotton and tencel blends, which should be cool against the skin, breathable, and unburdened, whether it's the warm sunshine of spring or the gentle breeze of early summer.
The glossy finish of the V-neck shirt, set against the soft shadow of the cut-out semi-transparent lace, evokes a refreshing sensation akin to the breeze passing through the gaps between vine leaves, which I hope you can feel when you raise your hands.
Clothes are the shelter of the body, and they should also be an extension of the mind.
May this series, born from a moment of "spilling," allow you to constantly feel the quiet yet abundant vitality that emanates from the vines.
